The Medium of Instruction Policy for Junior Secondary Curriculum

1. In addition to the English class quota and parents' wishes, S1 students applying for admission to the English class will take an English writing assessment.

2. Classes 1A, 1C, 1E, 2A, 2C, 2E, 3A and 3E are English classes, adopting English books and 100% English teaching*. The first semester of S.1 is the adaptation period and 50% is the English teaching indicator. It is expected that the English teaching indicator will increase to 70% to 100% in the second semester.
3. Except for classes 1A, 1C, 1E, 2A, 2C, 2E, 3A and 3E, all classes in Secondary One to Secondary Three are Chinese classes, adopting Chinese books and Chinese teaching.
4. The Chinese classes of Secondary One to Secondary Three has English learning elements added according to the abilities of the students in each class and the situation of the subject.

* The Life and Society subject of all classes from Secondary One to Secondary Three use Chinese as the medium of instruction.
