Scholarships and Grant-in-aid Scheme

Apart from general fee remission and textbooks allowance, our school also has the following scholarships available:

Man Kwan QualiEd “Star of the Year” Scholarship

Each year a student having outstanding performance in academic, conduct, creativity and talents would be honoured as the “Man Kwan QualiEd Star of the Year”and granted a scholarship equivalent to the annual tuition fee. Except for the winner, the outstanding performers who make it to the final five will receive a scholarship equivalent to three months' tuition fee.

Man Kwan QualiEd Outstanding Academic Performance Scholarship

All students ranked within the top three of each form would be granted a scholarship equivalent to the annual tuition fee.

All students ranked fourth to tenth of each form would be granted a scholarship equivalent to half of the annual tuition fee.

All students of F.1 to F.5 ranked within the top three of each class would be granted a scholarship equivalent to a month's tuition fee.

Hong Kong Jockey Club Outstanding Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to students who have achieved a top 3 position in any local or international talent competition (locally or internationally recognized and of a high level) within 6 months of submitting their application. Students selected can obtain in the form of study voucher a scholarship of amount at most equivalent to the annual tuition fee upon the approval of the funding panel. If the relevant award is a group award, the group can obtain in the form of study voucher a scholarship of amount at most equivalent to the annual tuition fee, which will be distributed equally among the members of the group.

Outstanding Extra-Curricular Performance Scholarship

A maximum of 10 students having demonstrated outstanding performance in extra-curricular activities are nominated every year. Each of them will be granted a scholarship equivalent to a month's tuition fee.

Tertiary Education Scholarship

To encourage students to achieve satisfactory results in the HKDSE, students who are admitted to local universities or tertiary education institutions will be awarded a maximum of $1,000 each.

 

Greater China Tertiary Education Scholarship (Man Kwan Education Fund)

Scholarships are set up for each school per year with amount of $10,000 for two students who further their studies in Mainland China, Taiwan region or Macau SAR.

Overseas Study Tours Scholarship (Man Kwan Education Fund)

Up to $28,000 will be awarded annually per school for supporting students in their overseas study tours.

Yung Lai Chun Scholarship (Man Kwan Education Fund)

A maximum of 2 students are nominated each year:

1.    One student who obtains the best result in HKDSE and continue to study in one of the locally recognized full-time bachelor's degree course (with conduct graded at least “B”in school) will be awarded $5,000.

2.    One student who is able to continue to study in one of the locally recognized full-time bachelor's degree course despite the hardship or misfortune will be awarded $5,000.
